Allseas Group Commercial Manager Mark Binge joins Port Users’ Committee
22 September 2014
Allseas Global Logistics group commercial manager Mark Binge is to bring his expertise and experience to the table as a key committee member of Felixstowe Port Users’ Association (FPUA).
Mark has accepted FPUA’s invitation to become the Category 4 Representative, which means that he will represent the interests of warehouse keepers and operators on the committee. “I was honoured to be invited to join the FPUA committee,” he says. “This is an important step for Allseas, enabling us to make a very positive contribution to the FPUA and to work on behalf of all port users.”
Mark, who is Allseas’ Felixstowe branch manager as well as group commercial manager, joined the company in 2009. His earlier career included 19 years at the Port of Felixstowe in a range of planning, operational and management roles, which will clearly stand him in good stead when discussing developments and operations within the port.
The Felixstowe Port Users’ Association is an independent body for companies who conduct a business activity in or through the port. Established in 1969, it has more than 100 members, including shipping lines, forwarders, hauliers, ship repairers, solicitors and computer companies.
FPUA represents the common interests of its members, acting to resolve local problems, lobbying where necessary, liaising between port community and port, and promoting the port nationally and internationally.
